Known today as the worst filmmaker of all time, Edward D. Wood Jr. was a dreamer who loved movies like westerns and occult movies. His movies were very controversial for the time and ridiculed for their amateurish feel. I particularly enjoy Bride of the Monster which revels in horror cliché without shame. Ed was, like many aspiring filmmakers, learning as he worked and what made him different than the rest of us was his drive to produce. It wasn’t as important to him that everything be perfect, but it had to get made no matter the cost.

This brilliant soundtrack was composed for Tim Burton’s, Golden Globe winning, comedy biopic Ed Wood by the legendary Howard Shore. He does a wonderful job capturing the essence of movie music popular during the 1950’s.
